Zorin Installation and Setup

Note

Dual-booting can potentially cause data loss or other issues, so it's crucial to back up your important data before proceeding.

Download Zorin OS

Go to the official Zorin OS website (https://zorinos.com/)
Navigate to the “Download” section
Download the ISO file suitable for your PC architecture (32-bit or 64-bit)

Create a Bootable USB Drive

After downloading the Zorin OS ISO file,
you’ll need to create a bootable USB drive.
We are using Rufus software to create the bootable USB.

download the rufus software
set up rufus

Prepare for Installation

Make sure you have a backup of your important data.
Create free space on your hard drive to install Zorin OS.
You can use the Disk Management tool on Windows to resize the existing partitions and create free space.

Boot from the USB Drive

Insert the bootable USB drive into your PC.
Restart the computer and boot from the USB drive.
You may need to change the boot order in the BIOS/UEFI settings to prioritize the USB drive. Start Zorin OS Installation»
Once the PC boots from the USB drive, you’ll see the Zorin OS installation wizard.
Choose your preferred language and click “Install Zorin.”

Time Zone and Keyboard Layout

Set your time zone and keyboard layout according to your location and preferences.

User Information

Provide your name, computer name, username, and password for the Zorin OS user account.
give a small and hard password because you will be asked for password everytime whenever you try to install new software on your zorin os.
